Every woman wants beautiful, long and healthy nails. Unfortunately, 88% of women around the world have weak, brittle nails. Bad nails are disturbing because that’s the first thing you see when meeting a new person and they often ruin a woman’s confidence.
Brittle nails can be caused by many things: stress, unhealthy eating, genetics. But no matter what the cause is, there is a solution! The first thing you have to do is to always wear gloves when working with chemicals. No matter if you are washing the dishes or scrubbing the floor, wearing gloves is essential if you want to have strong nails – chemicals in the cleaning products we use can easily remove the upper layer of our nails.
The next very important thing you have to change is the way you eat. We all know that as long as we take a lot of vitamins and eat healthy, our nails and hair will be healthy, too. The biggest problem is that we don’t have time to eat the right things and we often go for the junk food and not the food that’s full of vitamins. To have better nails you need to a diet that contains foods high in calcium, iron and zinc. Choose one of the three and eat as much foods with it as you can. Nettle soup is high in iron, nuts and sea food have zinc in them and many of the vegetables, including grain food contain calcium. These and many more foods are great for your nails, hair and skin and should definitely be part of your daily diet.
Because we are fans of natural products and DIY masks and remedies, I will share with you three treatments for your nails that contain only natural products that you certainly have in your kitchen right now!
For brittle nails you have to mix 2 tbs sea salt, 4 drops ethereal oil from sandalwood and 1 tbs lemon juice. You nails must be soaked in the mix for 15 minutes and then rinsed with water.
Mix apple vinegar, beer and olive oil. The nails should be soaked for 15 minutes and rinsed afterwards.
Beat two egg yolks, 1/4 tea cup of milk and 10 grams of honey. Apply on nails for 10 minutes and rinse with warm water.
It’s enough to do the treatments once or twice a month and if you start eating healthy you will see the results very fast!
