How To Apply Makeup For A Selfie

1

But first, let me take a selfie!

Yeah, selfies have been all around for a year now and they are getting more and more viral. What’s so special about them, you ask? Well, they are fun! You can make all kinds of goofy faces and seal your crazy and adventurous memories. Believe me, you will cry from laughter when you check them out again after a few years!

They have become so viral that even celebreties are taking selfies. Look at the precious Jared Leto, for example. Or the Oscars’ selfie!

So, where was I? Ah, yes. I was going to share with you a few secrets on how to apply the makeup and look wonderful on selfies. And do not, I repeatdo not overdo your makeup. We don’t want you looking like a Christmas tree, do we?

Foundation

Immediately forget about it. It is true that the cosmetic producers state that the foundation is perfect for the wanted soft and fresh look, but that is not absolutely true. Most of the high quality cameras actually give our your secret usage of foundation and makes it look obvious. Instead of using the foundation, you can simply exfoliate your skin! You can also use just a little bit of transparent powder, too.

Concealer

Now, this is a product many of you either forget or underestimate. You can visually make wonders with your face with its usage. Use a light product around your eyes and a heavier one to hide pimples and red spots. There are many ways to apply the concealer, it’s all up to you to decide which effect you prefer the most.

Open Your Eyes

Use cream eyeshadows in a shade a bit lighter than your skin. Smear them on your upper lid, unti the brow. This way you will manage to open up your eyes, and with a little bit of shine and glitter you will never go wrong. Don’t forget your mascara, too!

Cheekbones

They are an important part of your face. One of the most, to be honest. Instead of the standart, use a cream rouge in a natural shade. You will freshen up your cheekbones without imposure.

Lighten Up

The highlighter is the best decision you can make when it comes to lightening up your face. Apply it on the exterior parts of your face – cheekbones, nose, chin, the center of your forehead.

Ditch The Lipstick

Even if you are into the nude shades of lipstick, I advise you to leave it on the table and to not use it for the selfie. Instead, you can use a lip balm. It will create a fresh effect for the picture and it will look natural.
