Crab Rangoon Recipe

Hello, ladies! Would you like to make something different and unusual for lunch or dinner? Have you ever tried Crab Rangoon? Have you tried making them? If the answer is no, but you wish to do so, then you are most definitely at the right place!

The ingredients you will need are:

  • 1 package of wonton wrapper
  • water

And for the cheese filling you will be needing:

  • 1/2 lb imitation crab sticks/lump crab meat
  • 3 stalk finely chopped scallions
  • 1 pkg cream cheese, softened in room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce or 1/12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Now, when you are ready with the ingredients, we can begin cooking.

Firstly you must cut in halves the imitation crab sticks and separate them into threads in a large mixing bowl. Combine them in the bowl with the cheese filling ingredients and mix them all into a lumpy paste.

In the middle of a wonton skin put a teaspoonful of cream cheese filling and wet the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it in half, forming a triangle.

To seal the wrapper, press all of the edges together. You can also brush some water around the angles and fold them inward for as an artistic decoration. Already looks pretty, doesn’t it? But wait, there’s more to it!

You can also fold the angles without sealing the edges, afterwards bring the corners in the center and seal them together.

Afterwards, fry the wontons over medium heat for a few minutes on each side – after they have acquired a golden crispy look, you can drain the oil on a paper towel and serve the wontons.

Also, many restaurants serve the crab rangoons with sweet plum sauce, sweet and sour sauce, peanut sauce, duck sauce and etc. Basically, not only are they incredibly tasty, but you can serve them with any kind of sauce that you have or can make at home with the ingredients, which you already have.
