Chili Pasta Bake

Hello, chili lovers!

Would you like to spice up your meal for tonight? If you are a fan of chili, then this is probably the right place for you!

Today, I will share with you an awesome recipe for an even more awesome chili pasta, which is actually very easy to make and incredibly delicious. And when I say that it’s easy, I mean it. If I am able to do it, then so can you! Believe me, I am the person who managed to burn the curtains with a toaster! This is why you should definitely try cooking this pasta!

Now, let’s see, you will need…

  • 1/2 Tablespoons Canola or Vegetable Oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 whole chopped onion
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 dash black pepper
  • 1/2 pounds cooked pasta
  • 15 ounces fluid tomato juice
  • 14-1/2 ounces diced tomatoes and green chilies
  • 15 ounces weight kidney or black rinsed beans
  • 1-1/2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons Cumin
  • 3 dashes Cayenne powder
  • 1/4 cups water
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cups Sour cream for topping
  • 4 Tablespoons chopped green onions

So, now that you have the ingredients checked, it is time for us to start!

Preheat you oven to 350 degrees so you don’t have to wait afterwards when you are done with the preparations. Take a large skillet and drizzle the oil on medium high heat. When it’s drizzling, add the onions and saute. They should be done in about 3 minutes, so make sure you don’t forget them.

Season with salt and pepper and add the ground beef. Cook until its color is different than pink. While you’re cooking the meat, you can start cooking your pasta as well. When the pasta is done, drain it and set it aside for a while.

Add tomato sauce when the beef is done, along with diced tomatoes and green chiles, beans, chili powder, cayenne, cumin and water. Stir for a while and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Afterwards stir the cooked pasta as well and combine.

Pour the chili mixture in a pan and flatten it out with a spatula. Sprinkle cheese over it and place it in the oven for half an hour until the cheese has fully melted and the edges have bubbled.

When putting the pasta on the table, you can accompany it with sour cream and green onions as a topping! Bon apetit!
