Are You Ready for the Sandal Season?

Here is a basic hommade recipe for removing dead skin from feet.

Acid Foot Peel Recipe

What you need:

  • 1 cup Epsom salts (optional)
  • 1 large bowl filled with hot water
  • 1 smaller bowl
  • 1 bottle uncoated aspirin
  • 1 lemon
  • Plastic wrap
  • Cotton or woolen socks
  • A rich moisturizer

Soak your feet in the hottest water you can stand. Add the cup of Epsom salts to your footpath. You should soak your feet for at least half an hour.

Empty the aspirin into the smaller bowl and squeez the juice from one lemon in it. Mix it until you get thick paste.

When the mixture is ready cut 2 pieces of plastic wrap large enough to cover your foot.

After putting your feet out of the hot water dry them with towel and rub it against the rough parts of your skin in orded to loose some of the dead skin.

Once the feet are dry apply the paste to the feet. You should apply more paste on the driest areas of your feet.

After that wrap you feet in plastic wrap and then put on the socks.

You shoul stay with the paste from 4 to 6 hours (until you go to bed). Then remove the wraps and wash your feet with soap and water.

Apply the moisturizer and put the socks back on. Leave it to work over the night, because the lemon juice can be very drying.

This treatment takes some time. You should use it everyday fot two weeks. After a few treatments you can skip the soaking, because the treatment and the moisturizer had already softened the skin.

You can pull the peeling skin off as long as it doesn’t hurt to do so, or you can use pumice stone regularly.
